Sunrise Build: Building a full digital growth system

From TradeMe-dependent sales to NZ$2.5M digital GMV in 12 months, supported by brand strategy and ongoing marketing execution.

Sunrise Build: Building a full digital growth system

Frontier Marketer helped a New Zealand portable-cabin brand connect market positioning, website experience, search, social content and paid advertising. The partnership connected brand strategy and acquisition channels with ongoing execution.

Project at a glance

  • Client: Sunrise Portable Cabin / Sunrise Build

  • Category: Portable cabins

  • Market: New Zealand

  • Scope: Market and competitor research, positioning, website redevelopment, SEO, content, social media and paid acquisition

  • Frontier's role: Integrated strategy and ongoing marketing execution

The challenge Sunrise's early orders depended heavily on personal referrals and offline relationships. Those channels generated business, but provided a limited foundation for reaching a wider local audience.

The existing website was not functioning as an effective acquisition channel. The presentation describes very little organic traffic and no meaningful website enquiries or transactions. The brand also lacked a coordinated SEO, social and advertising programme, while its understanding of local buyer priorities needed development.

Our insight & strategy

The project addressed a wider acquisition problem rather than treating the website as an isolated design task. Market and competitor research informed positioning and audience definition; these decisions then shaped the website, content and channel activity.

The aim was to give buyers a clearer route from discovering the brand to understanding the product and submitting an enquiry.

What we delivered

Market understanding and brand positioning

Frontier reviewed the New Zealand portable-cabin market and competing offers to clarify the brand's audience and points of difference.

Website redevelopment

The website was redesigned around clearer content, product presentation, user experience and enquiry pathways.

Search and content development

SEO activity focused on relevant commercial search terms, supported by blog content intended to build organic discovery over time.

Social proof through content

Instagram, TikTok and YouTube activity showcased products, construction processes and customer stories, giving prospective buyers more context beyond the initial advertisement or search result.

Paid acquisition and ongoing optimisation

Google Ads and Meta advertising complemented search and content activity, with ongoing monitoring and refinement of the acquisition programme.

Results & evidence

The presentation reports that enquiries increased approximately 60-fold. It also reports continuing organic traffic growth, first-page rankings for core keywords and order growth that required production scheduling and business expansion.

These are company-reported outcomes. The source does not specify the enquiry baseline, comparison periods, keyword set or channel-level attribution. Those details should accompany the public results once confirmed.

What made the difference

Research informed execution. Local-market and competitor understanding shaped the positioning and website brief.

The website became part of an acquisition system. Search, content, social and advertising were connected to an enquiry destination.

Delivery continued beyond launch. Ongoing content and channel optimisation supported the development of the programme.
